Multi-platinum Hollywood Records artist Demi Lovato debuted at # 3 in the US with her latest opus, Demi, making this her 4th top ten debuting album.  The album has reached # 1 on iTunes in over 50 countries since its debut on May 14, 2013.  Fueling the meteoric release is her smash hit single, “Heart Attack,” which is top 5 on the Top 40 airplay charts and quickly reached platinum status in the US and Canada.  Demi is available at iTunes and Amazon.com.

The week prior to the Demi release, Lovato premiered the album online with a time-themed Twitter campaign, allowing her fans to “unlock” each song from her new album.  The online premiere created 20 worldwide Twitter trends and each song from the album became the # 1 trend in the world over the course of the four hours her fans spent unlocking the record.  At one point, over half of the worldwide trends on Twitter were about Demi’s album premiere.

Demi’s video for “Heart Attack” premiered on E! and has already amassed over 50 million online views.

Leading up to her album’s release, Demi performed on several high profile television shows including Jimmy Kimmel Live on the outdoor stage, Good Morning America, Live with Kelly & Michael, Dancing with the Stars and Ellen. She also made appearances on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Nightline, MTV and VH1.  Upcoming performances include the Britain’s Got Talent live semi-finals at the end of May on the ITV network in the U.K., the Much Music Video Awards on June 16, Good Morning America’s coveted Summer Concert Series in Central Park on June 28, and on VH1’s Philly 4th of July Jam with The Roots.  Demi will also return to the judge’s panel on Season 3 of “The X Factor” this fall.

Demi recently performed to a crowd of over 20,000 fans at KIIS FM’s Wango Tango in Los Angeles; her performance showcasing her powerful voice.

Demi is Lovato’s most personal album to date, and is an affirming celebration of life.  Lovato co-wrote nearly every song on Demi, along with a team of top producers and writers including TheSUSPEX (Mitch Allan & Jason Evigan), Priscilla Renea, Ryan Tedder, Emanuel “Eman” Kiriakou, Carl Falk, Rami Yacoub, Savan Kotecha, Ali Tamposi, The Monsters & Strangerz, Jonas Jeberg, Anne Preven and Matt Rad.  Said Demi about her new album, “I’m incredibly proud of this album,” said Lovato.  “It’s better than anything I have ever done! I experimented with a variety of different sounds and poured my heart into writing these songs. I’m so excited for everyone to finally get the chance to hear them!”

The day is finally here! Little Mix have made their mark in the United States! The UK girl group has been busy promoting their debut album, DNA which is set to hit stores on May 28th.

In honor of their arrival, the girls covered Seventeen Magazine’s June/July issue which is on stands now.

In their spread, Jade, Jesy, Leigh-Anne, and Perrie show off their wild side and talk about two other famous groups from across the pond – One Direction & the Spice Girls!

On One Direction: “I asked the boys from One Direction how to make it in America and they basically said: ‘be yourself and you can’t go wrong. People know when you’re trying to be someone you’re not. Just be true to who you are.’ So that’s what we’ve been doing!” — Leigh-Anne Pinnock

On the Spice Girls: “When we met the Spice Girls, Emma Bunton told us to keep being friends because that’s the connection fans love you for.” — Jade Thirwall

On the song that defines the group: “I would definitely say ‘Wings’ because it was one of the first songs we wrote together and the message is everything we stand for. We all have experienced people putting us down in the past and people saying we wouldn’t make it. We overcame it.” — Leigh-Anne Pinnock

Take a sneak peek at Little Mix‘s photo shoot below. Don’t forget to pick up DNA on May 28th!

Taylor Swift Dominates the 2013 Billboard Music Awards with 8 Wins @taylorswift13 @Billboard #BBMA

2013+Billboard+Music+Awards+Arrivals+rQGNj6AstBplTaylor Swift was the big winner at last night’s Billboard Music Awards, sweeping the top all-genre categories and taking home eight awards. Taylor won Artist of the Year, Top Billboard 200 Artist (her second win in this category in three years), Top Female Artist, Top Digital Songs Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album (for RED), Top Country Artist, Top Country Album (for RED), and Top Country Song (for “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”).

Released in October of last year, RED has already sold more than 5.8 million copies worldwide, including 1.2 million in the U.S. in its first week of release, music’s biggest first-week sales number in more than a decade. Called “the slickest, smartest and just plain best mega-pop statement of our time” by Rolling Stone, and “sublime….required listening” by Entertainment Weekly, RED set a new worldwide iTunes record for highest ever first-week album sales, and reached #1 on iTunes and national sales charts in 50 countries around the globe.

With RED, Taylor became the first artist since the Beatles (and the only female artist in history) to log six or more weeks at #1 with three consecutive studio albums, and she is the only female artist in music history (and just the fourth artist ever) to twice have an album hit the 1 million first-week sales figure. Taylor is Billboard’s youngest-ever Woman of the Year, holds the record for the most songs (11), to debut in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 in the chart’s more-than-five-decade history, and also holds the Hot 100 record for most songs by a female artist on the chart in a single week.

Taylor, dubbed “officially the new Mick Jagger” by Vanity Fair and heralded as “a true arena-rock goddess at an amazing peak” in Rolling Stone, is currently on the road with the North American portion of The RED Tour, playing 66 shows (including 13 stadium stops) in 47 cities in 29 states and 3 provinces spanning 6 months in 2013. Just last week it was announced that Taylor will take The RED Tour to Australia and New Zealand later this year, performing stadium shows in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, as well as an arena date in Auckland. Taylor will be the first solo female artist in twenty years to undertake a national stadium tour of Australia, with the last being Madonna’s Girlie Show tour in 1993. Due to strong fan demand in the initial pre-sales, an additional show has already been added to the previously announced itinerary.

Taylor, who writes all of her own songs, is a seven-time GRAMMY winner, and is the youngest winner in history of the music industry’s highest honor, the GRAMMY Award for Album of the Year. Taylor has an album on Rolling Stone’s prestigious The 50 Greatest Albums of All Time (by women) list, and Time magazine has named her one of the 100 Most Influential people in the world. Taylor, who is signed to Big Machine Records, has career record sales in excess of 26 million albums and 75 million song downloads worldwide, and has had singles top both the country and pop radio charts around the globe.

Taylor is nominated for two CMT Music Awards, which will be presented June 5(th) from Nashville.
